Northop Silver Band
We are a North Wales band competing in the Championship Section.
In recent years, we have competed in the British Open Competition and National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall.
We perform locally and further afield on a regular basis. Check out our Home and Events pages for details about forthcoming concerts.
We are delighted to announce that the band will once again be conducted by Thomas Wyss for our up and coming Welsh Regional Contest at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea, on the 15th March.
The Band look forward to welcoming Grimethorpe Colliery Band Musical Director, Ben Dixon, to conduct us as we compete in the Grand Shield (Spring Festival), Town Hall, Birmingham on the 3rd of May 2026.

The Band would like to thank Rose and her fantastic team for their great efforts each month with the Bandroom Bingo. This monthly event helps to raise vital funds for the band's work and Rose is pictured here, presenting John Williams with £600 towards band funds. Thank you all so much for your support!
The band was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Pedr Roberts, who had a long-standing association with the Royal Buckley Town Band, both as a player and administrator. Pedr was a respected and influential figure within the brass band movement in Wales, holding roles on the NWBBA and the Welsh Regional Council for many years. He was a gentleman first and foremost and his warmth and kindness will be missed by us all.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Pedr's family and our friends at Royal Buckley at this sad time. In our rehearsal following this sad news, we dedicated our hymn to the memory of Pedr.
